Re: Horizontal Deer Fencing

And I tried the seven foot wide netting laid flat on the ground. (I was
frantic and with no way tp put up a fence -- lots of deer, frozen ground,
new garden.) That did not work at all. They tangled it around and hopped
across it. Snow covered it and then they walked on it and cut holes into it
with their hooves. By then it was frozen in place.

If this simple solution worked then nobody would be messing around with the
expensive high tensile fence or high maintenance electric fencing in
orchards and other commercial growing areas.

I don't think anyone would bother researching it in a formal way -- it is
just not effective.
