Crosnes or Crones

 Does anyone have information on Crosnes (pronounced crones)?  Botanical
name
 is Stachys Affinis, also called Chinese artichokes. I'm looking for a
market
 grower who does them and an inspired chef who has them on his menu and
 charges $25 an appetizer plate for them.  Also, if any of you have eaten
 them, please let me know off-list what you think of the taste.
