Re: COMPOST TEA AND E COLI


OXYGEN WILL INDEED KILL E. COLI and properly made compost tea doesn't  
have e coli in it..However, it is easy: don't use compost made from  
manure. Its one thing if you are a farmer with lots of cattle, but  
most homeowners don't have cows and horses around. Why are they  
encouraged to use manure to make their compost?  Hmmmmm, could it be  
that it is a terrific product to sell....or a great way to get rid of  
it. Also composting does not destroy certain bad things in many  
domestic manures...like tetracycline which may end up in a lettuce  
leaf...
