Speaking, etc.

Hi All,

Sorry for the deluge, but I'm trying to catch up with the day's
discussions and keep my subjects separate.

Everyone seems to think the speaking thread has been such a good
experience, I have some suggestions:
Once we've finished with the speaking subject matter, let's also do (one
at a time) magazines and books.
It would be great to co-ordinate this with GWA collecting all the data
and publishing a report for members on the website.
Maybe someone who is on the program/education committee could get a more
focused, web survey going about fees, annual income, and good places to
research for speaking engagements (and whatever else folks would like to
see included).
Do 2 and 3 for magazine publishers and book publishers.
I've lost track, someone suggested this early on -- process the data,
organize it, and create three sessions for the Portland Symposium.
No, I don't have the ability or time to do it --- I'll be running for
public office in the spring. But I'm full of great ideas :)

Regards,
Lois J. de Vries
