Re: ExtensionCutToTheQuick--Again
In NJ, the topic of cuts to the Extension Service and the Master
Gardener program is an annual excercise, but they have always managed to
survive. Earlier this year, our illustrious governor (Corzine) suggested
that the entire Agricultural Department be disbanded. His announcement
came at the same time as the Jersey Fresh Program had succeeded in
getting local milk and produce back into state grocery stores. For those
who aren't familiar with NJ, we still have thousands fo farms, here.
