I find the scanner part of the all in ones to be absolutely awful.  I have a 
Canon CanoScan LIDE 100 and love it. It scans beautifully, it's lightweight 
and compact and it only cost me $50 with free 2 day shipping at Newegg.  I 
highly recommend it.  Everyone hypes the all in ones to death, but I find 
the more things a single device does the less of them they do well. Hope
