Re: gardenwriters Digest, Thugs


I like to use some of these "thugs" in school gardens, which may have very compacted infertile soil, little access to water and no budget for maintenance. Not the goutweed or notorious non natives, but chasmanthium, oenothera, rudbeckia, asclepias and others do admirably.
