Without the categories, I doubt that there will be more entries... if the electronic category 
is seen as commercial, for example, bloggers aren't likely to enter, so you won't get more
entries. No one wants to spend the money to enter and risk being kicked out of competition because
their entry doesn't fit the category.  

Make the categories clear, affordable and appropriate, and I think they will come.
