Hank Shaw is California based but his book Hunt, Gather, Cook is generic  
for the whole continent (I have recorded the radio show with him this past 
week  for Dec 17th airing and he is great fun as well as knowledgeable).

The station manager would like more of these 'off the grid' foragers, so if 
 anyone has great ideas please let me, as well as Jo Ellen know.
