Re: A Little Night Gardening

Mary-Kate,

That is just too funny! Reminds me of an old friend who used to buy
antiques and have them delivered -- to her attic while her husband was at work.
After a few months she'd bring the new piece downstairs and when her
husband asked her where it came from she'd reply "This old thing? It's been in
the attic forever!"

I have a friend who gardens at night so her husband doesn't find out
how many new plants she buys. She purchases her treasures at a local
Fred Meyer at the same time she buys her groceries so the expense is
hidden. Then she plants them in the dark. Worked great until one time
her next door neighbors reported a burglar skulking in the adjacent
garden. Busted.
