More information about the February Video Workshop and nursery/garden tour in Santa Barbara

I've received some off line questions about the upcoming GWA video workshop scheduled for Santa Barbara on Saturday, Feb 1.  In the workshop, the instructors will cover:

•	How to tell a story with video, including establishing point of view, organizing photo shoots, pacing edits, using words to reinforce visuals rather than using visuals to reinforce words, and grabbing the audience's attention in the first 15 seconds.

•	Basic video production techniques, including shooting various types of shots, capturing sound, editing pictures and sound, and uploading videos to the internet.

The next day (Sunday, Feb 2) is a regional meeting (open to everyone of course).   We will tour some of the renowned gardens and nurseries around Santa Barbara.  They are incredible, even in February.

We have a block of rooms set aside at the Pacifica Hotel in Goleta which is on the grounds of a historic nursery so the plantings at the hotel are notable as well.  The group rate is available until December 31.
