It sounds like maybe a compromise (to achieve all objectives) might be in
order? We absolutely CANNOT have a "cranky" Lon.
How about (to solve your problem of too many questions about accessing the
archives) a short one-line header that says something like (I haven't really
thought about this much):
To access [GWL] archives, please see information below this e-mail message
Something like that. I, for one, am VERY happy that you moved that LONG
header into the footer, Lon. But I am sympathetic to your frustration with
people asking you how to access archives.
