For the past few years I've been trying some technical solutions to
keep would-be thieves at bay:

Unfortunately, the latest versions of Internet Explorer allow users to
save images regardless of the HTTP protocol exchange, rendering my hacks
useless for most 'surfers'.  It has prevented indexing/theft by search
engines, however.

I do have a new plan in the works that should make life miserable for 
anyone trying to steal images through inlining or by saving to local
disk.  :)
