Re: Magazine Test Gardens

I hate to admit this in public but when I was very young and very stupid the National Inquirer as me to do some testing for them.  They had no idea what kind of tests to do...they simply wanted to know that a particular fertilizer worked.  When we ran a test with a control that showed that is was no better and possibly even worse than similar fertilizers...they refused to use the results, refused to pay the bill for the testing since it didn't show the results they wanted...but still ran an article waxing ecstatic about the fertilizer.  By the way...the USDA ultimately made the vendor withdraw the fertilizer since it did not test correctly against it's guaranteed analysis.
I'm 30 years older and hopefully much the wiser.
