Hi all,
The GWA Region V meeting in St. Louis April 5-6 is open to all garden writers--GWA members or not. This is a great opportunity to get an insider's look at the Missouri Botanical Garden. We are having wonderful speakers from MBG and tours of various areas of the garden by the staff people responsible for creating and maintaining them, including some areas not open to the public like the world-class herbarium and library. The garden's extensive bulb displays should be beautiful at this time of year.
An optional second day will feature self-guided tours of the MBG Butterfly Pavilion, Shaw Nature Preserve and Gilberg Perennial Farm.
The registration fee is a modest $35/person by March 20 or $50/person after March 20. Registration includes all sessions, continental breakfast, lunch and beverages at MBG on Friday. Transportation to the optional Sat. tours is on your own, but entry fees will be waived for participants.
The suggested hotel, a Holiday Inn, is $89/per night. If you'd like more information, please contact me off-list at paradisegardener@hotmail.com.
Hope to see you there!
Linda Nitchman
