Title: Re: [GWL] gardenwriters@lists.ibiblio.org
Thanks for the instructions, but like other GWL members, I don't know what a wiki is....is it an acronyn? What does it stand for? Is it a communications program? A process? Some basic explanation would be great!

The email client (Netscape 7.02) is currently broken and I cannot receive any mail with it and am forwarding
all of it to lflondon@intrex.net (an ID I am not subscribed to GWL with) for the time being. Please bear with me
while I labor with this inconvenience and work toward getting the GWL website and wiki up and running.

Here are a few quick instructions for using wikis I sent to someone recently, i.e. adding/editing
content in the form of links, photos, etc. to a wiki or a wikipage(s) of your own creation - just a sample:
Have a look at these links:

Go to:

http://www.ibiblio.org/ecolandtech/pcwiki/index.php/WaterRecycling

Look down at the lower left hand corner for the little actions menu box:
click on Edit. You'll bring up an editor with the content of that wikipage in it ready for editing; you can change or add to anything you see before you as you see fit.

To create a new wikipage for OAI add a blank line then on next line type: OceanArksInternational or: [OceanArks International].
Click on save your edits with "new markup" box checked. Then go back to the WaterRecycling page and you'll see
?Ocean Arks International. Click on the ? and it'll take you to thenew OAI wikipage. Click on Edit again and
enter whatever you need there and save it. If you enter a URL for OAI use this format:

http://www.oceanarks.org/   Ocean Arks International

type anything else here
etc
etc
etc

Save edits, cycle back through WaterRecycling and review your new work, make corrections as necessary

In the WR wikipage you can create the name of the new OAI wikipage and insert a URL for it right there and then add
it again in the OAI page too. Example

[OceanArksInternational]   http://www.oceanarks.org/
Or:
http://www.oceanarks.org/  OceanArksInternational

you get the idea.
