Re: prisoner gardens

The prisoners from Leyhill Prison had been exibiting successfully at
the Chelsea Flower Show, including Gold Medals in 2000

(http://www.rhs.org.uk/chelsea/2003/exhibitors/show_gardens/leyhill.as
p) before going to Hampton Court.
And please, remember that the film Greenfingers employs a little
license in its portrayal of the way the show operates.

The British prisoners that built a garden did it for the Hampton
Court show. Paula Dietz wrote about it, and it was subsequently
made into the delightful movie, Greenfingers. Paula was a judge at
the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show last year, and told her story
at the GWA meeting there.
