Re: Digital Cameras and 'Ageratum Effect' ?

Pat,
I've been using SONY and Fuji digital cameras for several years now, and can't say I've noticed a problem with blue color rendition as much as I have with red.  I've tried to take pictures of deep red flowers like bee balm and cardinal flower (Lobelia) and have noticed a definite orange cast to them.  Fortunately, it's possible to correct that in image editing software like Photoshop or The Gimp.  I'm sure it won't be too long before it will be possible to make a photo sensor that sees just like the human eye.

Film cameras often photograph blue flowers as purple - this

Do digital cameras have the 'ageratum effect' also?

I have a digital camera, but haven't photographed a blue
flower with it yet, so I was just wondering.

Thanks!

Pat
