Lorraine -- Before digitizing all those prints, you need to make sure that your computer has enough memory to handle them. Graphics can eat up a lot of memory.

In general, scanning photos is a very time intensive process.

I really need help with digital technology!
 
Right now, I have loads of prints I'd like to get into digitized format and have been looking at scanners.  Assuming my 5 year old computer can take the load, I'd be interested in what the experienced users of this tool can add to my very low level of knowledge.
 
Also, Costco has a special this month on a scanner made by PrimeFilm called the 35mm Film and Slide Scanner 3650U with Digital ICe technology.  I haven't been able to find what I think to be dependable info on this particular model so again, if anyone out there can enlighten me, I'd really appreciate it.
