Indian Rare Fruit Writer Wants Help

Below is an email from Dr. Chiranjit Parmar in India.  He is seeking US magazine opportunities and perhaps a collaborator.  He has extensive experience and education in minor fruit crops and exotics that could be of interest to American readers.  He also can send plants to you for testing for a small fee.  If any of you are interested in talking with him, please respond to his email address.

The man is active in NAFEX (North American Fruit Explorers) and did a workshop on Indian food plants last summer at the organization's convention in Columbia, MO.  His slides and talk were fascinating.  His web site is listed in the message below, too.

Please respond to Dr. Parmar directly.

Subject: Your advice wanted.

Dear Doreen,

I hope that this will find you in the best.

Whenever I see your mails in Nafex group, I remember the missed opportunity of meeting you at Columbia.  It really frustrates me too much.  Anyway, let us hope for a second opportunity.

As you might be aware, I also keep writing articles on fruits, medicinal plants and at times on issues relating to the utilization of under exploited fruits.  These days, I am writing regularly in the weekly supplement on agriculture of The Hindustan Times, which is one of the two most leading national daily newspapers in India.

I am interested in writing for some American magazines.

Can you suggest me some magazine that would be interested in my articles.

If you like, we can also collaborate.

Please do write your advice.

Best regards,

Dr. Chiranjit Parmar
