He was a large commercial farmer -- over two hundred acres I believe -- and 
he didn't claim to be organic. That was added later to the myth. According 
to testimony at the trial, the nearest Roundup Ready canola was five miles 
away. He disputes that. In any event, just how the GE seed got into his 
field is disputed. What is not disputed is that he sprayed a very small 
portion of his fields with Roundup and then saved the seed from the plants 
that survived. That is the seed he used to plant his entire farm the 
following year, resulting in crops that were over 90 percent Roundup Ready.
