Hi, Doreen -- a photographer I know glues or something to tack her 
photos to really nice note paper/cards. She writes the title of the 
image...winter scene, spring flower, and the date on the card, and 
uses the cards for just the purposes you describe.

You also might check with another photographer I know who does have 
notecards printed w/her images, Jo Ann Tooley, www.joanntooley.com, 
but hers are black and white.
