Re: garden shows and mosquito repellant plants
Yes, the Philadelphia Flower Show is always great and as usual the Garden
Writers Association is holding a regional meeting there on Monday, March 3.
On Wednesday, March 5 at 2 pm I am demonstrating "Easy Ways to Make
Troughs" in the show lecture hall. My talk and handout feature my original
recipe for papercrete, which is a variant of hypertufa. I use recycled paper
shreds instead of peat moss. I also teach this in workshops at Longwood
Gardens. There's a recipe on my website.
Lemongrass is another plant used in potions to repel mosquitoes.
With best wishes,
Betty
