Even if she has a blog, or is planning on having one, it is to her benefit to have the live link she requests at the end of any article. That is one way to get a higher rating on Google and other search engines. (Dave G: care to chime in here?)
One of the ways that I raised my google rating when "gardening speaker" or "speaker gardening" is searched was to have articles on a few sites with a mention that I was a speaker along with a live link.
