Thanks, Billy!

As it happens, the newest book from B. B. Mackey books was recently
described by reviewer Art Wolk (author of "Garden Lunacy: A Growing
Concern") as laugh-out-loud funny. It is "Best of Green Space: 30 Years of
Composted Columns" by GWL member Duane Campbell. The book has good garden
advice well wrapped in humor, not too sweet. The lighthearted little ink
sketches are mine. The book is a paperback, 224 pages, $16.95, and arrived
from the printer last week. It's available from Amazon.com and from my
website, for starters, and also by special order through any book store
(Ingram distribution, part of the POD printing deal through Lightning
Source).

If any of you would like a sampler -- excerpts from the book -- I'll be
happy to email you one. It is a PDF file.

If you would like a review copy of the book after looking at the sampler,
tell me the name of your blog, show, column, website, or publication and
send me your snail mail address.

Let me know offlist at betty@mackeybooks.com.

Billy, writing a book that gives solid information and is also really,
really funny is a rare combination of skills, but perhaps that skill set
happens to be yours. Is it?

Zealotry and extreme behavior can be humorous and that's the basis of the
garden humor in both Art Wolk's and Duane Campbell's books, and that's why I
like them.

With best wishes,
Betty
