There's the Ottawa tulip festival http://www.tulipfestival.ca/ celebrating
its 60th anniversary this spring. It began with a gift of tulips from
Holland to Ottawa as a thank you for sheltering the Dutch royal family
during WWII and has grown into a huge annual festival.
