Plantarium is an annual nursery industry trade exhibition,held in late August, in the town of Boskoop,The Netherlands. Plantarium 2001,held August 22 to 25 attracted 13,500 attendees and 250 participants from eight European countries,China and Israel. This years International Press Award was given to the vividly two-toned, light and dark pink, Clematis " Piilu ", a selection from "The Kivistik Collection " of Clematis from Estonia. Clematis "Piilu was the best novelty winner at Plantarium in 1998. Despite some 400 competitors, this climbing cultivar is still the standout.
