Here is the NGA material specifically for kids. There are some grants and
lots of information, and also materials for sale.

I believe Scotts also has a grant program for kids gardening through the
Give Back to Grow program. Sometimes in the past they have also kicked in
free materials when asked.

Many retailers and nurseries will make donations in kind to a volunteer
program, but you have to ask them about it and then it is a good idea to see
that they get a little publicity out of the deal.  For example, our local
Walmart often helps out, it is part of their commitment to the community.
And our local independent nurseries frequently donate plants and expertise
for projects.
