Dear Sharon:
Itty-bitty lemon tree isn't too helpful. I'd try calling or writing the places listed below. Are you sure it was a lemon tree. There is a tiny kumquat (Fortunella spp) that is served at the time of the Chinese New Year. The fruits are tiny, and guests are encouraged to eat one of the small fruits between courses. I've been looking for this plant for years without success. You might try your local Chinatown.
