The one I saw is named Hydrangea serrata ‘Harmony.’ It is a double double white that WaySide says is rare and the price says it even more so. For those of you who are interested the catalog number is 46126. I am also looking for sources for the double trillium and the double lily-of-the-valley….anyone know of any? It seems there is a big surge on double flowered plants as well as scented ones this year. Any thoughts on this? Has anyone actually seen any of the varieties mentioned above and are they worth purchasing at the price nurseries are asking? Also, is there a trend towards Japanese plants this year? I have noticed a ton of them being introduced. Sheri http://www.exoticgardening.com |
