Dear Colleagues,
As you know, regional GWA members will present "The Garden of Eatin'" display garden at Seattle's NorthWest Flower & Garden Show in support of Plant-a-Row for the Hungry (PAR).  Hunger is a huge problem in our Region VI states, and the PAR garden promotes growing extra food, and it connects gardeners with local food banks.  For instance, in Portland's metro counties, some 120 Oregon Food Bank drop-off sites make sharing with hungry people in our areas easy and convenient.
After the Seattle event (Wed-Sun Feb 4-8) in which many of you are involved, parts of the PAR show will make an second appearance at Portland's Yard, Garden & Patio show two weeks later (Fri-Sun, Feb 27-29).  Oregon Assoc of Nurseries has provided a 10x10-ft booth for a PAR display, and Oregon Food Bank has provided lists of drop-off sites and info about their learning garden program.  Elements of the Seattle display will carryover to Portland, including a banner and handouts.  This is a decidedly flying-by-the-seat-of-the-pants effort, and I need your help to get this last-minute, grassroots (veggieroots) effort off the ground.  Can you help?  Here's what I need:
                        Friday 10 am-9 pm
                      Saturday 10am-9 pm
                      Sunday 10 am-6 pm.
