I don't think digital cameras have the 'Ageratum Effect' though each sensor seems to have it's own color idiosyncrasies lots written about this on this board and on dpreview.com
I use Sony cameras and these are know for 'oversaturation' in the reds but there are software work arounds for just about every digital color flaw. It's looking more and more like the time one used to spend in the darkroom making subtle corrections you now make on the computer screen. I assume this is one reason why screen color/printer calibration is so critical to insure that what you see on the screen is what ends up being printed.
