Re: Web advertising

Jo Ellen et al:
I put google ads on my site one year ago - I only put them on the "Find Great Plants" section, with the hope that the ads would feature places where someone could buy the plants I am talking about. This didn't happen - some of the ads, sometimes, are for nurseries that sell that plant but most times they are for things like fast growing arbs or some such. Frankly, once the ads got put on, I haven't paid much attention to them. In the past year they have paid me just over $50. and they are on 13 pages of my website.

I would probably make more money if I had them on more pages, since my weekly hosting reports indicate that more people visit my articles pages than go to the "find plants" pages, but so far I haven't done so. If someone really wants to make money with this they should follow where the traffic is on their site, and have the ads placed accordingly. In fact, I think I'll send a note off to the woman who takes care of gardenlady.com, and get it done soon.

all the best,
C.L.
