Re: beech question


I've found a two or three line write-up in Dirr and that's it.
Maybe you should ask the landscaper where they got that name- i.e. from a 
two or three line write-up in a manual, or from an actual nursery catalogue.

Here's one nursery that lists it- but doesn't say anything about it:

I see that the Arnold arboretum list of Fagus sylvatica cultivars doesn't 
have a "nana" listed with the exception of a purpurea pendula nana.

I wonder if there has been some mis-naming ( not that that would ever 
happen) and "pendula" was dropped.
