Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like a perfect way to share this news/
press release (from whatever the source) with colleagues, JEMS. Because it
is a news release (meant for media and "released" by the company,
organization, corporation, etc.), the document and narrative were meant to
be reproduced in just this fashion... certainly that includes this
communication channel (through a list serv), as most members of this list
would, in some way or another, consider themselves members of the "garden
media" or, at the very least, journalists and/ or communicators. 

Personally, I enjoy receiving various news updates and tidbits found by
others on the list, which might be thought provoking (or, article provoking)
to the group.
