Did you really mean "anyone over 30" or was that a typo?  I'm a core  
member of my CSA in NYC and the great majority of our members are  
over 30.  In fact, I'd estimate only 10% are under 30.  I've found  
CSA members to be exactly those people who care very much about  
diverse tastes and high quality flavor.  In NYC we can't always grow  
our own, although there are some community garden spaces available.   
But being part of a CSA indicates a commitment to unusual produce  
(including kohl rabi!) and freshness.  Earlier this year I was asked  
to find a few under-30 members for a TV segment and couldn't do it.   
We were all too old!
