I have been out for a few weeks so know what you mean about time crunches  
sometimes.  If your blog would like a few from me, I would be happy to  help.  
Although I am in the south, i have ample experience in the northern  snowbelt, 
so let me know your preference.  Seed parties are great winter  activities - 
but tend to lead to just as much over ordering as making lists  yourself.  A 
bottle/box of wine or coffee, etc makes a pleasant way to  spend an evening with 
gardening friends and finding new catalogues as  well.
