"Registration" Nazis

I think Garden Writers ought to declare war on the mail order seed 
Nazis who demand "registration" including a password.  AS IF that was 
the only firm with which one does business -- ever.  Many of those 
companies have stores.  Does one have to "register" and give a 
password to enter and do business?  How about accepting a FAX?  No, 
in both cases.  So why in bloody hell must one "register" to place an
