Re: I'm surprised!

I grow a very large vegetable garden along with fruits and herbs. I am sure
all of you know that I also grow numerous ornamentals and rare exotics as
well. As a matter of fact if it is legal, and I can get it, I will grow it!
I am hopelessly addicted I guess and proof of that is my new 15 x 15 x 10
foot greenhouse which we plan to double this year so I can grow more plants
- mostly edible tropicals.

Seriously though over the last few years I have began growing more edible
plants although I am going to have my first cutting garden this year. It
will be part of the vegetable garden. I also ordered seeds for plants that
attract beneficial insects which will be planted in that area. Last year a
whole new design began to take shape. I already had the fruits and
vegetables together but began moving the herbs to raised beds in the area. I
believe in companion planting and growing organically.

The other thoughts on my redesign scheme is I need more pasture area for my
animals. I have a horse, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens and rabbits. I intend
to allow them to roam in closed off trellis areas throughout my garden for
weed control. This will be a long process since I need to put chicken wire
inside the trellis areas to contain them.
