Re: blackberries etc (the electronic sort)

I don't think your original question was answered . (If it was, I missed it..) The reason iPhones and Blackberries were included in the list of devices for which including the entire listserv e-mail in a response is a problem is not because of loading time. It's because the screens are small and it's a pain to keep scrolling down through a bunch of junk that you don't want to read and/or have read several times before. (And sometimes when you scroll through it very quickly, you miss what you do want to read.)
