I cannot agree with most of Mr. Godin's points or conclusions. Comics are NOT better online. Am I to carry my laptop outdoors on a sunny Sunday? I can't read the screen. Weather? Okay. It might be more current than what was printed last night. In fact, it had better be more current or what's the point? 
It's certainly true that there's no shortage of opinions on the 'net, most of them of questionable origin, unknown motivation and near-nonexistent accountability. 
Unlike Seth, I do worry about what muckrakers will do for a living. We all should. Muckraking is an honorable and necessary profession. 
Have bloggers convinced themselves that everybody spends most of his/her waking hours eyeballing a monitor? 
Finally: "when the marginal cost of something is free and when the time to deliver it is zero, the economics become magical." Economics & magic are not a healthy combination. We've tried it. 
I will give up my NY Times crossword puzzle when they pry the pen from my cold, dead fingers.
