Yes you are right that there is basically all vegetable sold to the home
consumer is GMO free, almost all seed companies selling to the home garden
market have signed on to the "Safe Seed Pledge"

Genetically modified seed primarily affect corn, canola, soy and cotton.
Most other vegetable seeds on the market do not have much of a chance of
being contaminated, although sugar beets and rice are next on the list of
what the big seed firms want to play with.

Most of the corn grown in North America is genetically engineered.

Two companies that specifically try to sell GMO free seeds:
