Re: Why do you blog?

We talked about this a bit a week or so back, but I didn't keep the
posts. I read a tremendous number of blogs, some of which are written
by some members of this List (waves to Susan, Elizabeth, Doug and
Graham, among others), others that are written by people who are not
'professional' writers but who have a huge passion for writing and for
gardening. Some of them are brilliant. I learn a huge amount from
reading these blogs, and keep mine as a way of 'giving back' to the
gardening e-world. I sometimes expand on articles I've written for the
Herald, but don't repost my Herald work online. I too don't 'earn'
anything from this or from a private email newsletter I send out, but
sometimes get work, either assignments or talks, because people have
seen the blog or the newsletter.

cheers, jodi
