House farmer ?

I posted a long blog entry to Gardening Gone Wild  about the  
Ecological Farming Conference  http://www.gardeninggonewild.com, and  
now out of the woodwork I get  folks telling me about the voting for  
next White House Farmer.   http://whitehousefarmer.com/

Voting is now underway and there are  candidates from every State.   
The top 3 vote getters on Jan 31  will be submitted to the president.   
It may not actually  happen, but the process of selecting is in place.

I am voting for Shep  Ogden who a lot us here know from Garden Writers  
and I know well  enough personally to know would do a good job.  There  
are other  imminently qualified candidates (many of whom would be too  
busy to  actually take the job).
