Solving Subscription Problems

A number of you have emailed me in the last month about your problems in posting to the listserv.  After investigation, I find that nearly every problem is due to:

1. Posting from an email address other than the one with which you subscribed.  The software will NOT recognize unsubscribed addresses and reject your post.

2. Your post is in HTML format, rather than plain text.  The software will bounce or reject any format other than plain text.

3.  Your post has an attachment.  The software rejects any message with attachments.  List a URL for your website or another picture-sharing site or the orginal document in your message so that readers can decide whether they want to view what you've sent.

These restrictions insure that we don't have spammers or virus attack the listserv.  In the nine years of this listserv existance, we're never had a problem.  Please heed the above and your posts will get through and we will continue to have a safe place on the Internet where we can exchange information.
