Re: No handouts at GWA talks?

I always provide handouts at my talk...print them out myself. I consider it the cost of doing business, so to speak. And I prefer to have handouts when attending lectures...I don't think there's a firm rule at GWA about this. The handouts posted on the Web site are meant to serve those who could not attend concurrent sessions.

Many of the boards I'm involved with now ask members to print out agendas, minutes, etc., which I don't mind doing since it cuts down on expenses for the not for profits.

It seems that a compromise could be worked out here. If--and it might
be a big "if"--presenters can get their handouts to headquarters early
enough, they can be posted on the website and those of us who want
paper copies can print them at home before we leave for the symposium.

I, too, like to mark up my handouts with additional notes and stars
for important points.
