Venture into self publishing

I am hoping this comes off as helpful and not self promotional but I have finally launched my new self-publishing website with my first garden photography eBook at PhotoBotanic.com

I hope I can be helpful as this thing plays out, but at the moment it is so brand new, and unlike some other members of this list, (or at least one member named Doug…) I have no track record or advice to offer, other than it’s a lot of work doing things you don’t really want to do.  Learning about Content Delivery Networks, and blog membership protocols, and…

But I am doing this because it allows me to pursue things that I DO want to do, like sustainable garden stories, to inspire good gardening practices, to celebrate plants.  I have been doing that for 30+ years, and since there is so little decent paying work in magazines, and a lot of hustle to keep up with ever changing editors, I may as well do it myself and hustle customers.

I guess I am chiming in here to let you know of this adventure. Not only do I hope it works out for me, I hope to share some success stories.  I posted a long background piece about why I decided to take this leap of faith on my personal blog.
