Claude, We have something very like that at Suite101 - over 50 different writers from around the
world covering regional aspects of gardening as well as different plant types, garden design,
pests, etc. No advertising, and each editor has to go through an application process to be able
to write for us. We have a general question and answer forum as well as those belonging to each
separate topic. Debates are encouraged.  And there is no subscription fee.

About the only thing we haven't done with any regularity is product review - and that may be
coming. We've had limited seed exchanges as well as garden book swaps and anything else we can
come up with of interest to gardeners.

Just no regular income. ;-)
