Re: Virus in lflondon GWL post
I have an iMac running OS8.6 and received the
email with no message, but it had two files
attached. I opened the jpeg to see a graphic
diagram of some sort of equipment setup. The
other file had an odd icon and extension, and since
I did not recognize the sender, I did not attempt to
open it. Then Lon's message explained the virus; I
deleted the email. So, a Mac can receive it. It may
have to do with your particular email server.
Fortunately for Mac users, most viruses do not
effect Macs; however, there are some.
I've received two emails recently inviting me to
download software to view a new site - I have
deleted these also. Better safe than sorry.
