When Amorphophallus riverii became properly Amorphophallus konjac, I made
the change. My readers don't care about a new name of a plant they have
never heard of. But taxonomists have recently been putzing around with
chrysanthemums and coleus, to name two, and I am not going to confuse my
readers by new names for their old favorites, names I have read about and
promptly forgotten.
